Chianti Update!

Chianti Update!

To our Chianti family & friends,

A special thanks to those of you who continue to send well wishes, and inquire about the status of Chianti. First, let me say that the staff & I miss you. We miss seeing you, and serving you.

Each individual and business must make their own decisions on how best to navigate the new norms of today. For us, the virus and the safety protocols that are necessary to help keep everyone safe make it difficult to offer the warm and intimate experience that has come to define Chianti.

With all that's going on in the world right now, we decided to keep the restaurant closed for the time being. After 27 years, it seems as good a time as any to step back, recharge the batteries, get inspired by new menu & dining ideas, and make some renovations to the restaurant. We continue to monitor the everchanging health, economic, and social landscape, and it is our hope to come back revitalized & ready to begin the next chapter of Chianti.

Meanwhile, we ask that you continue to support your favorite restaurants, and help out musicians by watching their live stream concerts and making a donation if possible.

Most importantly, please be safe out there, and we look forward to the day that we can once again celebrate life with you!

All the best,

Rich & the staff of Chianti

Thank you!

Thank you!

Dear friends,

A special thank you to those who have reached out with well wishes, bought gift certificates, inquired about purchasing take-out, offered to donate to the restaurant, or organize fundraisers for Chianti. You will forever be in our hearts.

For now, we will continue to refrain from offering take-out until such a time as tests for the Covid19 virus are readily available and we can ensure the maximum safety for our staff and you as well. People over profit.

While we are grateful to the attention that the restaurant industry has garnered in the press during these trying times, the plight of musicians has largely gone under the radar. They have lost virtually all of their gigs & much of their revenue. When you really think about it, the music that these talented individuals create just may be the most significant contribution that humans offer to this little planet of ours. Please support them in any way that you can.

In the short term, our world appears to be entering an unprecedented time with some significant unknowns. Please be cautious, take care of yourselves and your families, and keep washing those hands!

As to Chianti, we are grateful that you have joined us on this journey over the last 27 years, and remain hopeful about the future. Together, we will begin the process of resurrecting the restaurant and club when the time is right.

Meanwhile, please make sure to reach out to a loved one and check on them. Step outside the door or open a window, breathe some fresh air, and feel the warmth of the sun on your face. These are the 'gifts of each day' that we often take for granted.

So to the patrons, the staff, the musicians, and to all of you that have helped make Chianti a place with one floor, but many stories, we say THANK YOU.

Farewell for now, and much love to all!

Mickey Dolenz celebrates Chiantis 25th Anniversary!

Mickey Dolenz celebrates Chiantis 25th Anniversary!

As a child of the late 60's & early 70's, I was just one of the millions of kids who grew up watching the Monkees on TV. I loved their music and persona. Not even in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that I would grow up to run a restaurant & music lounge, and that on its 25th anniversary Micky Dolenz of the Monkees would be there throwing his own private party. BUT IT HAPPENED! So cool; I am truly amazed, and thankful.

Chianti Celebrates 25 years!

On September 9th 2017, Chianti celebrates its 25th anniversary.  My wife Josie, my son Luke and I would like to thank the wonderful patrons who have supported our dream for the last quarter century.  We would also like to thank the dedicated staff, who throughout the years, have treated our customers as the most honored guests to have ever entered our home.  Our Chianti family looks forward to continuing this journey of music, food, and celebration with you.

All the best,
Richard Marino
