Sugar Kings (named after a Cuban baseball team) is a Boston-based quartet known for their dynamic live performances, rich harmonies, intense musicianship and ability to transcend genres with an authenticity rarely heard. In their world, respect is paid to the forefathers of Afro-Cuban Son, Salsa, and Rumba-Flamenca. But that's only part of their story. Sugar Kings also actively draw on influences from nearly every continent in their unique Roots-Rock-Reggae repertoire. Join us this Friday night, August 30th, for a Piano Bar featuring singer/pianist Jack Favazza. Jack's repertoire includes piano bar favorites from artists like Billy Joel, Elton John, the Beatles, Eagles, James Taylor, Journey, Jim Croce, Jimmy Buffett, Stevie Wonder, and many more. Jack Favazza has garnered critical acclaim for his Billy Joel tribute band, 'Captain Jack and the Strangers', which has performed at venues such as Lynn Auditorium, The North Shore Music Theater, Nashua Center for the Arts, Tupelo Music Hall, and a recent sold out show at The Cut Live. Instantly recognizable by his tender baritone voice, Ryan Kaiserman strives to push the boundaries of honesty in songwriting. His delicate yet complex approach to the nylon string guitar paired with a one-of-a-kind harmonic approach creates a world of vibrant and melancholic beauty. As a solo performer, Ryan has played everywhere from legendary local venues such as The Lilypad in Cambridge to large concert halls such as the Berklee Performance Center.

Contributing to Ryan’s music as it continues to reach live audiences are pianist Josh Pajak, bassist Sam Bigus, and drummer Jackson Reed. Together, they are the Ryan Kaiserman Band; a group that will take both your heart and mind on an unforgettable musical journey. Ryan’s debut album, “Phantom Tear in the Dried Up Sea,” will be released in summer 2024.

Featuring Brian Cogger on guitar, vocals and trumpet, Sam Bigus on bass, Josh Pajak on drums, and Matt Walsh on saxophone, Candlepin Slim plays original swing, funk, and blues music.

Influenced by artists like Joe Jackson, Steely Dan, and JJ Cale, the band blends strong harmonies, solid songwriting, and energetic improvisation.
